The idea of associating a specialized exhibition to the MWWD Conferences was initially remote, due to the priority given in MWWD 2000 to the scientific aspects of the “outfall business” and to the aim to diffuse the European AQUARIUS project under way in that years. Nevertheless, it had been already visualized the possibility to make MWWD not only a “meeting point” for scientists, but to attract also the participation of suppliers and contractors to obtain also their contributions on the practical aspects of the marine projects.
After a soft start in 2000, the participation of companies has grown up, both in terms of presentation of papers and of interest in exhibiting their capability.
